The Opportunity: 

As an IT Support Technician II at Vivid Seats, you will receive hands-on experience with industry-leading technology. You will develop and grow a foundational skillset through the deployment, maintenance and support of computing endpoints. Your contributions will positively impact and promote the image of our team.

How your role contributes to the success of Vivid Seats:

  • Empower our users to succeed through the deployment of hardware and software.
  • Promote productivity by identifying and implementing solutions to technical obstacles.
  • Assist with the testing, adoption and rollout of new technology.
  • Optimize our strategies and processes through team collaboration.
  • Contribute to our knowledgebase via documentation.
  • Strengthen our relationships with other departments.
  • Maintain an effective user lifecycle through timely and accurate processing.

How your role expectations will progress as an IT Support Technician in the first 30, 90, and 180 days:

30 days in

  • Complete new hire orientation, gaining the resources you need to be successful.  
  • Learn how ticket marketplaces operate and how you’ll contribute to providing great experiences for our customers.  
  • Acclimate to team and company norms, business objectives, and Vivid Seats values.  
  • Learn to navigate common tools and procedures.
  • Establish avenues of support and learn when and where to seek guidance.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of security principles and data compliance.

90 days in

  • Contribute to and enhance our approaches, methods, or technologies to mitigate risks and improve efficiencies.
  • Build, maintain, and leverage internal and external relationships to achieve progress and advance objectives.
  • Become familiar with common problems and applying appropriate solutions.
  • Assist with the user lifecycle process, perform onboarding IT trainings.
  • Proactively take on support tickets, establish and document resolutions.
  • Use intuition and exercise good judgement to solve problems in a timely manner.

 180 days in

  • Apply methods to execute individual tasks that positively impact the team.
  • Play an active role in continued learning to advance skill sets necessary for team goals.
  • Establish interdepartmental relationships through efficient communication and positive results.
  • Recognize trends in our environment and discuss them with the team.
  • Offer feedback to help shape new policies and procedures.

 What You’ll Bring:

  • A passion for technology and a drive to improve upon it.
  • A firm understanding of both Windows and MacOS operating systems.
  • The ability to ask purposeful questions, break down problems and document the resolutions.
  • Strong communication skills with a friendly attitude.
  • A desire to help coworkers and fellow team members succeed.
  • The ability to multitask without compromising quality.
  • A strong work ethic and ability to self-govern on projects.
  • The ability to troubleshoot hardware, software and basic networking problems.

Location: Chicago, IL

Vivid Seats Pay Transparency Disclaimer: Full time offers from Vivid Seats include annual bonus incentives and equity for all employees; FLEX PTO; mental health days; medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401K matching; monthly credits and discounts for attending live events; and a variety of additional workplace perks. The typical starting salary within the full salary range for this position can range. Factors which may affect starting salary include geographic market, relevant skills/experience, education, and other qualifications. The full salary range for this position is $45,000-$55,000 USD.
